Throughout our programs, we pilot new and innovative approaches to address community challenges. Some of them are documented here as templates and manuals that can be adapted for use.

NGO CODE OF CONDUCT TEMPLATE

On May 29th – 30th 2016 en.v conducted a workshop on promoting transparency and accountability in the civic sector in Kuwait, in collaboration with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung. Fourteen local civil society organizations took part in the event and together agreed on five essential themes for a Code of Conduct, which can be adapted and adopted by different organizations across the sector. Below is a template developed by the en.v team based on these recommendations.

PARTICIPATORY ACTION RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

This manual was developed as part of a workshop aiming to introduce local educators to PAR and enabling them to apply it with their students. It manual includes an overview of the PAR process, as well as the following:

• Definitions: the most relevant definitions based on available literature

• Tools: useful to develop and implement research projects

• Exercises: to practice the tools and get more familiar with the concepts discussed

• Case studies: from Kuwait and different countries around the world to provide examples that participants can relate to
