Our work is centered in relationships.
We bring people together
We have important conversations, and we collaborate to make social change happen. The work of change is hard to measure. But small actions have a multiplying effect. Through our programs, the people in our community experience at least one thing. They learn something new. They talk to someone new. They have a single light bulb moment. Maybe they take one new action, or change one behavior. Eventually, that multiplies. Our work—seemingly invisible—multiplies. That’s how real change happens.
Over 500 individuals participated in our work last year.
And, more than 38 trainers led our programs.
We ask the questions that will prompt the change
How can we incubate transformative ideas?
What are we able to offer and ask of one another?
What does allyship look like in society today?
The power of research & documentation is that it continues to inform, teach, and make change
Last year alone, we supported the implementation of 13 participatory research projects, documenting the stories and lived experience of 2,949 members of diverse, under-represented communities
Our Aswatna portal documents the findings of the student-led PAR projects documenting barriers to inclusion in our local schools. It also includes a white paper with our learnings from implementing the program, and recommendations and resources for a variety of stakeholders, including educators and decision-makers.
