Planning for impact.
Over the years, we have been working to not only build the capacity of individual CSOs, but also to address the structural challenges facing the sector as a whole. Through our ongoing collaboration with the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), one of the most important players and donors in the field, we are helping to develop a long-term strategy for sector-building which is aligned with and reflective of the needs and aspirations of our stakeholders.
As part of the first phase of this strategy, en.v has implemented a comprehensive needs assessment of KFAS grantees (close to 100 organizations) through an iterative and participatory process - which included quantitative and qualitative assesment tools, in-depth interviews and focus groups - to ensure that the data collected reflects the sector’s real priorities and helps identify context-specific and responsive solutions to shared challenges.
The report will eventually be made available to the general public, and will provide the foundation for future interventions.
“A big thank you to everyone that continues to say ‘yes’ to us, to explore meaning and take risks alongside us. We cannot wait to see what we can make possible together.”
