Nurturing transformational leadership.

Whether it's in civil society, in schools or in the workplace, we at en.v firmly believe anyone can contribute to building a more resilient and inclusive society when equipped with the appropriate tools and support. That is why we have partnered with the Kuwait Projects Company (KIPCO) in co-creating their latest flagship initiative, Enbat.

Enbat has been designed to equip young professionals and university graduates with skills for work and for life, while also empowering them to navigate the world with increased agency and compassion, and fostering connections within a supportive and diverse peer group.

The program includes an initial series of trainings covering key topics such as self, systems & critical thinking; cross-cultural communication; design thinking; work culture and skills application. Embracing a holistic approach, this capacity-building initiative combines technical expertise with soft skills, actively involving local youth in their learning journey through participatory, user-centric, and experiential methodologies.

Upon completion of the training, alumni remain connected through an ongoing network, providing a platform for knowledge-sharing, fostering connections, and nurturing both personal and professional growth.

The first round of training was held from January 13 to March 9, 2024. The second round will take place from 12 October 2024 to 30 November 2024. Applications are now closed, but stay tuned for future updates! For any inquiries, please contact Noor Al Khateeb at noor@envearth.com.

The Training

In Enbat, we will begin by investigating who you are, what you believe, how you understand the world, and learn from your life experiences. We know each of you will bring your own perspective, knowledge and worldview with you, and we will be applying critical thinking tools to investigate how we understand and navigate diverse communities within our larger system. Your self-awareness, your ability to understand and adapt to your environment, and manage yourself and your relationships to others are key skills that employers are looking for—in Enbat, you will be engaged in deep and challenging work to make you more observant, resilient and adaptable.

What kind of communicator are you? What is your leadership style? Are you a team player or more comfortable working alone? How do you make decisions? Are you good at listening, holding a dialogue, expressing your point of view? What happens when you have to work under pressure? Do you have strategies for self-management in stressful collaborations? We will explore all of these in Enbat, and you will leave with a better understanding of your strengths, and the areas you may want to develop so that you will be able to do better. In Enbat, we will be asking you to try, fail, try again, and learn by doing. We guarantee, you will leave Enbat with a greater understanding of yourself and others, and with an ability to try new things. This is going to help you succeed wherever you land your first job.

Come be creative with a cool group of peers! Design thinking is a powerful set of tools to use in a human-centered approach to problem-solving.  In Enbat, you will get the opportunity to play with the tools of design thinking, tools that you will be able to apply anywhere you will be working. The Design Thinking model emphasizes empathy, collaboration, and learning to think and problem solve creatively and adaptively.  Many companies are requiring design thinking training as a foundational tool for employees, so Enbat will give you a head start, by immersing you in fun and intense activities which will orient you to the fundamentals. Design thinking can be used to solve a wide range of problems, from product design to service design to social innovation. This module will be both very intense and a lot of fun!

Every workplace has a culture, and when you finish Enbat, you will have the tools to understand the culture of your workplace so that you can adapt. In Enbat, you will practice some of the basic competencies that will help you in the first 90 days of your job, wherever you get hired. You will be working on applied skills like communicating professionally in writing, giving and receiving feedback, and making sure that you are heard. You will also be working on your digital identity, time management skills and preparing for job interviews. We want you to leave confident in who you are, what you have to offer, and in your ability to make thoughtful decisions about your next steps into working life.  In Enbat, you will learn skills they don’t teach you in university. You are deepening your self-awareness, and practicing tools that will make you resilient, adaptable, and an asset to any organization you join!
